📚 Gateway Book Speed Dating! 💕📖
Mrs. Northway’s English IV class joined Mrs. Henley in the library for “Gateway Book Speed Dating”!
Students spent two minutes with each Gateway or popular book the librarian selected. During each “date,” students judged the cover, read the synopsis, and sampled a few pages to get a feel for the author’s writing style. They then marked each book with a “Yay” or “Nay.”
At the end of the activity, students were able to find their perfect book “match” and left the library with a book they were actually interested in reading!

Tuesday’s softball game against Russellville has been updated.
Due to Russellville not having a JV team, Tuesday, September 1st will be a varsity-only game.
Additionally, due to the expected heat index Tuesday evening, the start time has been moved from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

Fall ACT Workshop Workbooks
Anyone interested in ordering a workbook for the Fall ACT Workshops may do so by seeing Lori Bailey in the front office.
Workbooks are $24 each. Payment and orders are due by Thursday, September 10th.

Mr. Onstott’s Ag classes participated in Safety Day today!
The California Police Department, MI-MO Ambulance, and California Fire Department worked together to talk with students about safety in the Ag Shop, procedures to follow, and even played some games!
We love seeing education happen both in and out of the classroom! It’s a great day to be a Pinto!
